OTM serves as the gateway to India's travel markets, bringing together the travel and tourism communities of India and Asia under one roof each year. Recognised as the Leading Travel Trade Show in India and Asia, OTM has built a distinguished reputation for its scale, influence, and contribution to the global travel and tourism industry. To deliver an event of this magnitude, we have designed a Volunteer Programme that provides participants with first-hand exposure to large-scale event execution and operations.

As a volunteer, you will be part of a dedicated team working tirelessly to create an exceptional experience for all attendees. The programme is ideal for passionate and proactive individuals, whether students or working professionals, who wish to gain practical experience, enhance their skills, and contribute meaningfully to the leading travel trade shows in Asia.

Volunteer Departments

(Subject to change. The responsibilities may vary according to the requirements of the event.)


Volunteers will be assigned to various departments based on their skill set, at the sole discretion of the Volunteer Manager, including, but not limited to:


  • Registration
    The registration team is at the heart of the event, serving as the first point of contact for attendees. Volunteers in this department manage check-ins for exhibitors, media, hosted buyers, VIPs, and association representatives. They ensure a seamless registration process, assist with self-check-in kiosks, badge printing, and scanning, and help manage crowd flow. This role is ideal for those who enjoy interacting with people and want to gain experience in front-of-house event operations.

  • Facilitation & Client Servicing
    Volunteers in this team provide personalised assistance to VIPs, hosted buyers, invitees, and exhibitors. They guide attendees across the venue, answer queries, and offer support to ensure everyone has a smooth and enjoyable experience. This department also includes dedicated client servicing for exhibitors and media teams, making it perfect for volunteers who enjoy hospitality and guest engagement.

  • Conference Area Management
    As a member of this team, you'll be at the forefront of creating a seamless conference experience! You'll ensure the venue is clean and prepared for each session, manage smooth transitions between talks, and coordinate Q&A sessions. Working alongside event staff, you'll tackle any challenges, help maintain order, liaise with security, and assist attendees with navigation.

  • Lounge Management
    As a Lounge Management Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment in the Lounge/ Dining area during the event. You will be responsible for helping with the reception desk, managing the space, monitoring guest flow, assisting attendees, maintaining cleanliness and order, and serving as an information point for guests.

  • Hosted Buyer Assistance
    Join our team and take on a vital role in delivering personalised support to hosted buyers, ensuring they have a smooth and productive experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to act as a liaison between key buyers and event organisers, addressing enquiries and requests promptly.

  • Social Media Team
    As a Social Media Volunteer at OTM, you'll work with the marketing and PR teams to assist in creating engaging content, respond to enquiries, and maintain an active social media presence throughout the event. Your tasks will include assisting with taking video bytes of exhibitors and visitors, thinking of caption ideas relevant to OTM, and having an aesthetic eye to record social media content. Your work will help grow the event's online community and expand its reach.

  • Videography & Video editing
    As a volunteer in this department, you will play a key role in capturing the essence of the event through video. Your responsibilities will include filming key moments, such as keynote sessions, panel discussions, exhibitor activities, and networking events, and ensuring that all important highlights are documented. Additionally, you will assist with editing footage, creating promotional content, and ensuring smooth video coverage throughout the event. Your work will help bring the OTM experience to life for both attendees and future audiences.

  • Information Desk Management
    This role offers a great opportunity to engage with attendees and ensure they have a positive event experience. You'll greet guests at the Help Desk, provide accurate information about programmes, panel discussions location and assist with venue navigation. Additionally, you'll maintain a well-organised desk and collaborate with volunteers and staff to address any enquiries.

  • Event Support
    Join our team as an Event Support Volunteer at OTM, where you'll provide flexible support across various departments. Your tasks will include manning entry/exit scanning points, escorting exhibitors to their stalls, stocking materials at counters, and offering relief support in high-traffic areas. You'll also assist with crowd management, queue management, attendee enquiries, and event-related activities, and help with the Exhibitor Awards Ceremony and feedback collection.
Key Essentials
  • Event Dates: 05, 06 & 07 February 2026

  • Work Hours: 7 AM - 7 PM (subject to change)

  • Commitment Dates: Some of the volunteers in certain departments will be required to start working from 1st February onwards. For everyone else, the above event dates will apply.

  • Event Venue: Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai

  • Training: An event of this scale involves numerous details, and it is our responsibility to ensure you are well-prepared to make the most of the experience. To support this, we have developed a training programme for all volunteers, which is mandatory for everyone to attend.
    • Virtual Training: We'll host 2 to 3 virtual training sessions before the event, equipping you with all the essential knowledge for your role.
    • On-ground Training: Get ready for a comprehensive orientation on either 3rd/ 4th February, where you'll familiarise yourself with the event layout and agenda and meet your team leaders.

    Note: All training sessions are mandatory for every volunteer.


  • Reward & Recognition: All volunteers who have been present throughout the training sessions and the event, upon completion of OTM, will receive a "Certificate of Appreciation and a Stipend" acknowledging their contribution and efforts.
Selection Process
  1. Application Form: Complete the online application form available on our website. Volunteer Registrations will close at 6 PM on December 15th, 2025. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds who can bring their unique skills and experiences to the event. Important points to note:
    • Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, so submitting your application early increases your chances of being shortlisted.
    • The quality of your responses to the questions in the form will determine whether your application is shortlisted.
    • Plagiarism, use of AI, or copying answers from others will result in disqualification.

  2. Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a brief virtual or in-person interview to discuss their interest in volunteering and assess their candidacy. The interviews will be conducted between December 15th- December 25th, 2025.

  3. Confirmation: Those selected as volunteers will receive confirmation details via email and will be added to an official WhatsApp group.
